News 2011
The big news is that Lexy (Sundancer's Aleksandra) owned by Kathy Hamilton and Lori Johnson and bred by Lori Johnson, and Tom and Marsha Worlton, was the number 2 ranked Lhasa for 2010. She was an invited dog to Westminister. As of this time (March 2011) Lexy is again ranked in the 2nd position amongst Lhasa's. Lexy recieved her Grand Championship in 2010, amongst the first Lhasas to accomplish this honor.
Tom also became an AKC Preferred Breeder during 2010. Marsha became an AKC Preferred Breeder in early 2011.This means that we carefully maintain breeder records, have finished many AKC Champions (maybe fifty, but who's counting), and that we register all dogs bred with AKC. Tom, Marsha and Lori are also members of the American Lhasa Apso Club and they are Register of Merit Breeders.
We have several Lhasas we are watching closely this year including:
Lexy (With Kathy Hamilton in Austin Texas)
Pinache ( With Alvin and Phylis Lust in Calgary, Canada)
Marti (with Kathy Hamilton in Austin, Texas)
Primo (with Tonia Haulibaugh in Austin, Texas)
Victor and Cosmo (both with Tom and Marsha Worlton in Eagle Mountain, Utah)
Victor, Cosmo, Primo, and Marta are all from a breeding with BIS BISS Am Can Ch. Palasa Spyanki x Rom Ch. Sundancer Hylan Shotru Foxtrot.Marti (with Kathy Hamilton in Austin, Texas)
Primo (with Tonia Haulibaugh in Austin, Texas) Marti (with Kathy Hamilton in Austin, Texas)In our first shows of the year, February in Denver, Rebel was Winners Dog the three days he was shown. Sage was also an Award of Merit winner one day. We are considering shows in Idaho, California, and Utah over the next several months.
Rebel finished his AKC Championship in Vallejo, California in March and also earned his first Grand Champion points. He followed this up by being a Select Dog in the three shows in South Jordan, Utah. Kosmo earned his first points in Riverton, and Marta also earned points be being Winners Bitch. Lexy earned a Group 2 and a Group 3 in the Non Sporting Group. Daisy earned Winners Bitch and a major in Vallejo, moving her to within another win to finish he Championship. We hope that our next shows will bring Championships for both Daisy and Patch. They will then be eligible for adoption to a good individual or family.
