Lexy and April have Anna surrounded. We know baby's like to suck a thumb once in a while, but Lexy appears to prefer a toe. Lexy and April (Sundancer Aleksandra and Sundancer Hylan Shotru April Morning) are puppies from a breeding of Coco (Ch. Sundancer Coco Drummer) and Foxy (Ch. Sundancer Hylan Shotru Fox Trot). Both are registered in ALAC Futurity and could appear in the American Lhasa Apso Futurity competition in 2009. Both will undoubtedly be shown in 2009. Lexy is owned by Kathy Hamilton of Austin, Texas, Tom Worlton and Marsha Worlton; while April is owned by Lori Johnson, Tom Worlton and Marsha Worlton of Eagle Mountain, Utah.

Ch. Sundancer Shotru Bilbo B and Ch. Sundancer Hylan Shotru Penny stutted their stuff in front of thousands of dog enthusiasts at Madison Square Garden. Bilbo showed like the class dog he is. Showa Fantastic With Pantalf was the Best of Breed.

This was our first trip to Westminister, and we did enjoy the experience. Besides the show, we enjoyed the sights of New York with Kathy Hamilton of Austin, Texas; a co-owner and friend.

Ch. Sundancer Hylan Shotru Sam I Am (Hylan Shotru Looks Like Lucy x Sundancer Shotru Bilbo B)

Sundancer Hylan Shotru Sam I Am was Winners Dog to attain his AKC Championship. Sundancer Hylan Shotru Lady Sage was Reserve Winners Bitch. Opie was unable to show Friday because of the difficulty we experienced getting out of snow and ice as we traveled from Eagle Mountain to Denver.

Sundancer Hylan Shotru You Got A Date (Opie) was Opposite Sex on Saturday. On Monday Opie was Best of Breed against 25 other Lhasa Apsos. Sage was again Reserve Winners Bitch (to a different bitch than Friday). We are always happy with a reserve, because it shows us how close we are to getting Winners Bitch.

Incidentally, the Denver Shows involve more dogs than even Westminister. It is probably the premier show in the West.

Palm Springs, California:

January 3, 4, 5 (2008): We took with us Sundancer Hylan Shotru Sam I Am, Sundancer Hylan Shotru Lady Sage, and Sundancer Hylan Shotru Ceirra. We were hoping for a major on Saturday, the 5th, but it didn't "hold" meaning that some of the exhibitors didn't show up. Had the major held, and Sam maintain his winning of WD he would have been a Ch. at the end of the weekend. As it is now, we will follow the snow and see if we can pick up another major for him.

Sam was Winners Dog all three days and Sage was Winners Bitch and Best of Winners all three days. In the process our Lhasas did beat dogs and bitches from four different kennels.

Ch. Sundancer Hylan Shotru Penny (above) out of Sundancer Eowyn and Hylan Shotru You've Got A Date. Tonia Holibaugh showed Penny during the first months of 2008. We retired her from the show ring in late June 2008 and she was ranked in the top 25 of Lhasas at that date. She is now has a new haircut and loves to run around the yard, free as the wind.

At Lewiston Idaho Sundancer Hylan Shotru Penny earned a Non Sporting group placement.

At Riverton, Utah Sage got her first major. CC, Sundancer Hylan Shotru Sierra, (Hylan Shotru Sundancer Brandy x Ch. Sundancer Hylan Shotru Sparky) was also credited with a major. Sundancer Hylan Shotru Mee Niu was Winners Bitch one day and picked up points towards her AKC Championship.

At Ogden, Utah Sundancer Hylan Shotru Mee Niu picked up points again by going WB.

At Fargo, North Dakota Sundancer Hylan Shotru Cassidy finished her AKC Championship by being Winners Bitch for a 4 point major. Owned by Kathy Hamilton as well as Tom and Marsha Worlton, she was shown by handler Tonia Holibaugh.

At Great Falls, Montana Sundancer Hylan Shotru Ciara was Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, Opposite Sex, and Group 3 in the Bred By Exhibitor competition. This was a major win for CC and brings her close to her AKC Championship. Ch. Sundancer Hylan Shotru U R My Date was Best of Breed

At Missoula, Montana De-Leit's Sundancer Solo Singer was Winners Dog and Best of Winners for a major and his AKC Championship. He is owned by Dee Leitel and comes from BIS Ch. Sundancer Hylan Shotru Bilbo Baggins x De-Leit's Touch A Risin' Sun.

Winners Bitch was Sundancer's Hylan Shotru Fionna for a major and her AKC Championship, all from the Bred By Exhibitor class.

At Missoula, Montana Sundancer Lhasa-Wag Ayla was Winners Bitch for a major and her AKC Championship. Ayla is owned by Eva and Orville Wagaman.
